Many years ago when I was a divorced single parent of four young children I so badly wanted to become a successful real estate agent. I thought it would be so glamorous... showing houses, helping sellers sell their fancy homes, getting a big check every month. Of course I had no idea of the work that was involved.
Whew! The classes, the marketing, the driving, the showings, the open houses, short sales, foreclosures, delayed escrows, cancelled escrows, smart phones, paper work more paper work... it's not as glamorous as it looks but I have no regrets. I've been doing real estate for over twelve years. It's been good and it's been challenging, but it's what I do and I do it well!
I take pride in having keen negotiation skills and making my client's goals and needs paramount. It's important to me to offer the kind of service that makes my clients glad they chose me as their agent. Isn't that what you want an agent to do for you?
I have lived in Oxnard for over 30 years. As a child I walked, rode my bike or caught the SCAT city bus throughout the Oxnard/Ventura area. I know the city well. I've come a long way since those bus riding days and the days of being a single parent. I am now the real estate professional I wanted to be.
Outside of real estate (because I think it's important to have a life outside of real estate), I love being with my husband, family and friends, especially my grand-kids. I'm a lover of God and people and anything "peace." I'm a bit of a fashion junkie (that might be an understatement). I collect teapots and I do volunteer work. I like great food, especially dessert, but I absolutely (I can't emphasize that enough) hate to cook! I have a pretty good sense of humor and I just started law school (might as well, I'm getting older either way)
